a message from nate edmondson

Thanks for checking out Mid-Cities! My name’s Nate, and I’ve been the pastor here since May 2019 (we’re all still getting used to it!) Before joining Mid-Cities, I was the college and teaching pastor at Immanuel Baptist Church in Lexington, KY. I graduated from Western Seminary (M.Div.) in Portland, OR and Moody Bible Institute in downtown Chicago.

I grew up in Tennessee and have moved around since college. I moved to St. Louis to be closer to Courtney (who is now my wife!) while she finishes up her masters in counseling. We both graduated from Moody and have worked in ministry together since college. We are very much partners in life and ministry, and we’d love to get to know you!

I don’t claim to be a pastor who has all the answers. I’m young, new to pastoring, and make a lot of mistakes. You probably have more wisdom than me in a lot of areas. But I am confident in the power of the Holy Spirit to work through the Scriptures, and I’m committed to helping you follow Jesus as I try to follow Jesus.

As a pastor, I believe the church is healthiest when the Bible is being preached, when people are enjoying each other and using their gifts to serve each other, and when we are focused on loving people outside the church. My aim is to help people experience Jesus and embody his ways.

Come see us sometime!
