There are three primary ways to get connected with Mid-Cities at Maplewood.

GATHER ON SUNDAYS

We gather each week because we believe participating in a worshipping community is one of the primary ways we experience God. For two thousand years, Christians have been gathering on Sundays to meet, sing together, learn from the Scriptures, and practice baptism and the Lord’s Supper. As simple as it sounds, the discipline of gathering for worship is the primary practice of our community. Sunday worship is the front porch and entryway of the house. It’s where you’re greeted, meet a few people, and make your way into the life of the house.

join a GROUP

We want to be people who embody the ways of Jesus. We want to form groups where we can remind each other of the good news of the gospel and where we can practice the ways of Jesus in our friendships with each other. Small groups are like the living room and kitchen in the house. It’s where conversation happens and people form smaller conversations. Small groups provide the opportunity for people to be known and form deeper relationships with others. We believe joining a group can be a helpful step in spiritual formation, since groups meet for the purpose of care, prayer, teaching, and fellowship.

serve on a team

Our hope is that forming relationships with others allows our church members to discover how God has made them, how he has gifted them to serve, and how they can minister to the rest of the church. In our house analogy, service on a ministry team is not so much a room in the house. Instead, it’s when you find your role in the family, what part you play in making the house run. Our ministry teams are the ones who make that happen.
