anyone is welcome

Our mantra is “good news for all people” and we mean it. We’re a community of imperfect, dysfunctional people in desperate need of grace. No matter what you believe or how you’re living, you are invited to join us on Sundays. We want to be a place where you can be honest, ask questions, and explore faith in Jesus.

What to expect

  • Dress — Our church is very laid back. Wear whatever is comfortable for you.

  • Time — Our services typically last about 70-80 minutes.

  • Arrival — When you walk in, you’ll be greeted by a few people and handed a program. People will be standing around talking and there’s a spot to grab coffee. The service will start right at 10:00 am.

  • Service — We will sing songs led by our gifted worship team, read the Bible, pray, and hear a teaching from the Bible. After the teaching, we will take the Lord’s Supper together. We ask that only believers participate in this time of the service. (It might feel a little awkward not to participate, but don’t worry about it. No judgment at all. If this seems weird, read more about the Lord’s Supper here.)

MC Kids

We have a lot of young families at Mid-Cities, so kids are a huge priority for us. We are committed to providing a safe and fun environment for children from birth-2nd grade. All of our volunteers have been background checked and interviewed. When you walk in the building, you will see a kids’ check-in area. They will be able to assist you with checking-in your child. If you have questions, please don’t hesitate to send us an email before you visit.

A message from our pastor

Thanks for checking out Mid-Cities! Visiting a church can be an intimidating experience for a variety of reasons. But despite the anxiety it might cause you, I’d still love to invite you to join us on a Sunday. You’ve already learned by now that life is harder when you do it alone — or even if you just feel like you’re doing it alone. We want to be a community where you can make friends and be encouraged.

If you decide to visit us, Courtney (my wife) and I would love to meet you. I’ll be by the door after the service, or you can email me beforehand. If you don’t feel like our church is the right fit for you, I’ll be glad to recommend some other churches that might be a better fit.

Hope to see you soon!

Nate
