This sermon teaches that God gives spiritual gifts to every believer, not for self-promotion but to help and serve the church. These gifts—ranging from sign gifts and speaking gifts to serving gifts—are distributed by the Holy Spirit in different ways for the building up of the body of Christ. Because the Spirit works for the maturity and unity of the church, believers are encouraged to discern their gifts in community and use them humbly for the good of others.
